*The second black person in history to receive a PhD from Harvard University* Established Black History Week that later Turned out to be Black History Month* Toured the world from Malaysia to France and studied educational systems. He later went on to study the educational system in the Philippines for three years.*Started the oldest black publishing company in America; Associated Publishing *He was the Dean of Liberal Arts at Howard University*Senior Columnist for Marcus Garvey’s Nergo World* Wrote over 18 Books on Black Life and History*They said he focused too much on the Black race when studying History. He was pushed out of many intellectual circles and was told that his methods for Advancement for the advancement for black people were TOO radical.
